According to media information, LH plans to scrap F class on selected long range routes with low load factor. Especially on the transatlantic sector there is a trend of both airlines and passengers to prefer a 2-class layout. "By this means, we try to secure economically less successful routes".
Could this mean that the A346 will have a two-class layout for LH, being placed on the 'less successful' routes that the 747/744 now operate?
There are still rumors that LH plans to introduce a brand new Y class in 2003/2004. Any news on that?
Also, will the C class be updated on routes without F class?

F-Class is a dinosaur... More and more airlines are dropping it.

that depends on how the then new C class will look. As we look at SQ, CX, BA, etc. for comparison, there will be seats with a generous legroom that allow the seats to be turned into full-flat beds. If that is the case, F is indeed obsolete.
