Does AA still operate either of the type? And if they do how many of each?

Thanks

Both types are out of AA service. The last -10s left a couple of years ago and the last MD-11 was pulled maybe last fall. Honestly, I'm not sure of the dates of retirement.

Both types are out of service. The AA MD-11s some are with Fedex and their DC-10's some were turned to MD-10's for fedex.

AA still owns a few DC-10's. They are being leased by HA and stil have the AA registration #'s and a color scheme very similar to AA. HA is in the process of replacing them with 763ER's by 2003.

The ironic thing here is the fact that FedEx is scrapping most of the DC-10s that they received from AA. In fact, very few have been modified and I believe the number of DC-10s to be scrapped is arou 29 give or take a few.
