This is the first flight into Hong Kong and will operate 6 times per week. What I can't understand is why CI are allowed to add new flights after being banned from doing so after CI611 went down. (AE is 100% owned by CI)

I guess that's the whole point why Mandarin will add flights and not CI. AE can probably add flights with the new bilateral but CI is still prohibited to add flights due to safety concerns. Just a thought. The777Man
Need a Boeing 777 Firing Order....Further to fly...T5, CI, MU, LX and LH 777s

I really pity the CAL-group. They seem to have so much confusion going on within the airline...
CAL flies to Europe but has the AE abbrvs. The MD11 that crashed in HKG was in AE colours but carried the CI abbrv. It was decided that AE would be a domestic carrier sometime back and now it it expanding to Hongkong? AE oprated to Australia and Canada but now that AE has no more 744s, who is operating those routes? CAL? If so, do they carry the AE abbrv?
How come problems like these are not laced on EVA?
Welcome to my starry one world alliance, a team in the sky!

The flight is NOT daily, infact I've never even seen the flight on my trips to the airport. I can confirm no flight on Saturday and they do fly on Thursday and Friday. As for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday ???
