I was very impressed with the appearance of TAAG's 747-300 which I saw a while ago at CDG. Check the database for pics. I was wondering if anyone here has actually flown on the airline. I know they fly to LIS, CDG, JNB and GIG with the 747 which replaced the Tristar. Any detailed information on TAAG would be greatly appreciated in particular inflight service, flight crews and future plans.

Lumumba: If you don't mind, it would be wonderful if you can post a trip report of your T.A.A.G. flight. I am very interested in hearing your adventure in this exotic airline!! When did you take this trip and what plane model did you fly?

My English is not so good but i try?
It was Mai 98 with a B747-300 and it was a night flight.
I think that they both this plane from SQ one year before.
I was in the middle in D class and the seats where large and big but on the other side there was nothing to entertain only one movie and 6 chanels for the music part.
On the airport in Luanda it's always very impresive to see 2 747-300(T.A.A.G) and 737-200s(T.A.A.G),707(T.A.A.G)with somthimes a 757 of Etiophian and a A330-300 of SNBA?
And with a lot of 727-200 or 100 of Transafric also C130 of UN etc...
When you are landing in Luanda by sure you have to circel before touching down.

Patrice

Does anyone know if TAAG still flys the il-62, I think this was primarily used on the LAD-SAL-HAV route......There was some talk of a Houston route commencing but it seems World/Sonangol have this covered........BTW is Havana still served or is the 747 too big for the route?
