Philippine airlines renovated there old web site and has come up with a better looking website http://www.philippineair.com

Does any body know if the new terminal at MNL that will open end of this year will be capable of handling A380? If so will MNL see any A380 actions from LH, AF, or other carriers?

According to Flight international PAL has 4 outstanding orders for 744, will this be taken up, or are these cancelled already?

Also does anybody know if PAL has to move its international operation away from its centennial terminal, due to government requests? I know they are lobbying against it.

Drew

well I know that PAL cancelled the orders for the remaining 3 744s plus the 1 combi. Boeing a few months ago was giving PIA special deals on the 744 A/C but they didn't buy it.
PAL said they are Getting 1 744 this fall in the article in Flight International as the A330s and A340s will be overwhauled this comming fall or winter.
The last info i heard about PAL and the terminal despute is that PAL no longer refuse to move to Terminal 3 as long as both Domestic and International Operations can be Handled there. they were in negotiations with PIATCO and i haven't heard any new about it since.

I really Do hope this Helps!

Does any body know if MNL is A380 capable, or the new terminal will be A380 capable?

oh and one thing, which of the current 4 B747-400's have PTV's.

is it B747-469M? N744PR? this one was taken up by PAL after Kuwait cancelled it. Is this the one that has PTV's?
