Presumably she has left go fly since the easyJet takeover, counted her money and is currently on holiday.

Is she likely to get a job back at BA? or Jet Blue in the US?

She is still CEO of Go Fly, she's staying until the handover to easyJet is complete next year.

Ed Winter said in his e mail last week that he is now the boss of Go Fly, it was reported that Barbara would leave when the Orange people take over.

Ed Winter is overseeing the integration of the two carriers, but reading the inflight mag on my trip with Go at the weekend there was an article by Barbara saying something along the lines that she is still around and will finally leave when the integration of the airlines is complete early next year.

There is no specific info. on the Go website about this, nor does her article feature there.

I would be surprised if she would want to stay around, wasn't she perceived by easyJet asthe enemy in past low cost arguments?

I think she was very disappointed that 3i accepted the offer from easyJet, she made her opinion clear at the time that Go could survive and grow without their assistance.

At the end of the day Go is still Go (for the time being) and she's getting a nice payout, she may as well hang around for a few more months. Maybe she can still have some influence on how much influence the Go operation has in the future of the merged airlines.

After all, Go is her "baby" (no pun intended).

Barbara is no longer the CEO and has left the company, along with any Director or Senior manager who decided not to stay at the merged company.

She will probably reappear on some board after her no complete clause is finished.

Well thats interesting. I was just thinking the in-flight mag was the July/August edition, so the article will have been written before the official takeover. Perhaps she changed her plans once that took place?

In any event I imagine we will see her soon, hopefully back at BA (for BA's sake).
