Hi all just want to know if British Airways is using the Boeing 777-200 on it's Seattle-London (Heathrow) route? The route currently is operated with 747-400 aircraft but I am planning a trip in November and the schedule said they are 777-200's in November. Are they using the 747-400 for summer travel then the 777-200 for winter travel when the demand isn't as big.

Probably Yes.
As usual, loads are high at this time of the year for flights to north america, therefore 744's are used. If the winter schedule mentions a 777, then it probably is, as demand is lower during this period. I've never seen BA using 777's to SEA, usually 744's are used all year round, except maybe during the October/November time.

Strange that BA would use a 777 on the Seattle route, seeing as it is full all the time. Sometime they do use the 777 here when the usual 747400 is is maintenance or something. Or maybe with all the recent switches from Gatwick to Heathrow, they know that someone else is coming on the route and therefore are downgrading the capacity....

Hi!
Whats happening in SEA is similar to SFO, until last spring BA used 2 daily flights from LHR to SFO with 744, now if you look closely in BA webline they changed in summer, the first flight BA285 is operated with the 777-200ER and the other with the 744. I will be flying from LHR to SFO in 16 December and even then they're operating with the 777.
Regards
