Which LAX Airport Hotel did you choose and why?

(Which offers the best in terms of spotting from your room, cleanliness, room service, rooms, etc.)

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Presently my favorite is the Hilton & Towers.

(I'm going to be in LA 1st week of September.  Big thumbs up
Anybody coming to/being in LA at that time?)

Regards

I stayed at the HoJo Lax and the Super 8 Motel because of the prices  Wink/being sarcastic

The HoJo Hotel offers a fantastic view for landings on 24L / 24R. The motel 8 offers no view - but a really cool sound  Wink/being sarcastic (Directly before 24R).

Do you remember what they charged you? Last time I stayed at a HoJo they charged me about 50$ a night which was clearly over the top compared to what they offered.

thanx

Hmm... it's now 2 years ago. I think it was $40 + Tax per 2 bed room.

I highly recommend the LAX Hilton. The executive lounge at the top has awesome views of runways 25L/R.

I always stayed at the Marriott. Good rooms, free USAToday, nice views. I have a very fond memory of waking up and looking out my window and seeing a TWA 747-100 go screaming by.

Dash8-

The above suggestions are good. If you are looking for a spotting partner, drop me an email in my profile. I don't live too far from LAX.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites at LAX. I think there are two of them. I don't know which I was at but I was on the north side of the building with a balcony, and through the windows, saw the aircraft on final to the two north runways. It was great and the aircraft were really close to the building...

I didn't choose to stay there. The party that I was with made the arrangements and I really didn't have a say. It's a nice place. Complimentary breakfast down in the atrium each morning, great suites...

If I am at LAX I am always stay at the Hacienda Hotel because it is very cheap and it offers a lot of comfort, a very good bar, and the best breakfast at LAX. Unfortunately you can not spot planes from there but they offer a shuttle bus to LAX for free.

I have stayed at the Hilton, the Marriott, and the Sheraton. My favorite has to be the Marriott. The views of planes coming in can be great. Also, the pool at the Marriott has a swim-up bar... sort of a nice 70's feel.

I've stayed at the Radisson when I've been to LAX, and I enjoyed it very much. Short distance to the terminal, nice rooms and acceptable prices...

I liked the Hilton. Had a huge corner room on a floor in the teens for $88 in December. Super nice place with super friendly staff. Bad part is that you have to pay to park. I did like the TV chanell that lists all flights in/out of LAX also get to hear some neat call signs on the scanner when you watch TV.

There is no better place than a spa suite at Westin LAX on Century Blvd. Each suite has its own jacuzzi on a small private balcony. You get to soak in the warm water while watching the planes fly by. You'll be naked, but the people in the planes can't see that far.(beside, you're in the water) Their room service menu is nice. Order some before you go in the jacuzzi.

I stayed there a couple of times and always found it hard to get out of the water. (until my skin are all wrinkled)

Even though I land in LAX I prefer to stay at a hotel near SNA called The Atrium. One of these days I'll actually stay closer to LAX.

I always stay at the LAX Hilton. Great prices. You can get a discount if you have the Entertainment Book. Last time I paid $68.00 per day, weekend rate.

The last time I was at LAX I stayed at the Radisson, 8th floor, south side. Had a great view of terminals 7 and 8 and all the action on the south side. I even walked about five minutes down the road from the hotel and watched planes landing on the north side scream over my head. All this for $68/night.

I stayed twice at the LAX Hilton and once at the LAX Westin.

As hotel I would recommend the Westin which is much more better but for the Airport View I would go to the Hilton ...
