AF Long-haul Service Out Of Nice

About 10 years ago (1991/2) I personally saw an AF 747 at Nice airport bound for Mauritius via several points (possibly Djbouti/ Antannanarivo?) Does anyone know AF' (or UTA) schedules out of NCE at the time or if there are still long haul routes out of the airport?

As far as I know, the only Air France long-haul currently out of Nice is the Delta 767-300ER codeshare service to JFK.

The French have very strict control over their airports.

Malaysia Airlines has been trying to obtain traffic rights into Nice for years whilst trying to increase their 3x weekly KUL-CDG service which flies full pretty much all year round - but to no avail...

May be it was a charter or a cargo flight !!!

There is flights from MRS to some DOM-TOM and African destinations !!!

This is as far as i know !!!

It's very stupid...
I love NCE, and I'd love to see the long-haul traffic increase at this aireport. The only long haul flights from this airport are the DL flight to JFK and the Emirates flight to Dubai via Rome.
Air Transat operates flights to Montréal and Toronto each summer.
Saudi Arabian also operates flights to NCE in Summer (lots of VIP flights, but schedulded flights too).
There are also some medium-haul flights to Africa (Gabon I believe).
With the opening of the new Extenstion Terminal 2 in September, maybe NCE will be able to welcome Malaysia Airlines ? It would be great !
