Anybody happen to know what it is right of the top of their head?

I understand that Air Algerie used to operate a weekly Algiers-Moscow flight using this type. I can't imagine that long of a journey on an aging -200.

I seem to recall that either Aloha or Hawaiian (can't recall which) had a 737-200 from Honolulu non-stop to the Christamas Islands. Don't have any maps handy, but I recall the distance as something like 1800nm.

Hello,

I'm not sure how far apart Algiers and Moscow are but Canadian Airlines has quite a few 737-200's flying and here are some of their longest routes:

YVR-YYZ 737-200 2096 MILES(3353 KMS)
YVR-ORD 737-200 1778 MILES(2845 KMS)
YVR-DFW 737-200 1765 MILES(2825 KMS)

These distances were noted in kilometres on the canadian website so I put those down as well. The 737-200 YVR-YYZ route is flight #990 and it is being changed to a 767-300 with the new AC scheduling. Actually, I have flown this flgiht# on an A320 as well so perhaps the 737 and A320 share the flight#, I'm not sure. Hope this helps.

CP flies YYC-IAH with the 73S, which is 3 miles longer than YVR-DFW.

The airline with the 737-200 going from HNL-Christmas Island is Aloha. Remember, Hawaiian opted for the DC9?

I believe the longest flight with a 732 is Aloha from HNL-Christmas Islands. Something like 1800 miles.

I flew on a Continental Airlines 732 from LAX-CLE. Something like 2000 miles.

I do not know what the exact distance is, but LACSA Airlines from Costa Rica flies a Havana - Toronto leg on 737-200 ADV. That seems pretty far to me.

Actually, Air Algerie operated the 732 from Algiers to Moscow via Prague, and later Berlin. It was never a nonstop flight as far as I can remember when I took it. During high demand they substituted 722 for 732.

There is also CP flight #'s 108 & 109 (Toronto - Mexico City) over the last several years operated by the 737-200! Currently though, it is the A320.

How times have changed.... when the service was launched about 5 years ago, it was a DC-10-30 with First, Business and Economy.

In South America, Pluna (Uruguay) flies a B737-200 nonstop from Montevideo to Salvador (Bahia) in Brazil. This takes almost four hours.

The Air Algerie timetable that I have from winter 1997-1998 says that this flight was flown every Wednesday, non-stop, using a 73S. The Sunday flight was operated using a 72S.

In the current Air Algerie timetable the flight is non-stop, two days a week, using a 72S.
