Hi guys!

Im spotting at the moment from the El Al lounge at TLV, in half a hour I'll be boarding LY 777 for a flight to JFK.

There was a 767-300 that just passed the terminal for taxing RWY26, it was registered F-GLOV, however, instead of the airline name there was a strange internet address, and therefore I couldn't recognize the airline, anyone can help me on this? Oh, and it had a sticker near its tail saying: "Love is in the air.."

Also, I know Israir got another 757 for its charter EU routes, however, I wasn't aware of the exact deal they made for the leasing. I just saw this aircraft landing it was all white with the Israir logo on the fuselage, anyone can supply more details?

Thank you very much!

Michael (in 13 hours @ NYC!!!!)

The B763 F-GLOV has been acquired in July by Aeris of France. It was formerly operated by Britannia as G-OBYA (built in 96).

No idea about the Israir B757.

If this can help: I photographed an all-white Boeing 757-258ER of Israir on July 5th 2002 at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS/EHAM). The aircraft was registered as 4X-EBI. Hope this helps...

4X-EBI is a former EL AL aircraft, the last one delivered to LY (built in 97, msn 745). It's either directly leased from LY or a leasing company (if LY has returned the aircraft before).

Thanx a lot guys.

I wasn't aware at all that there was a further change in the LY 757 fleet.
Anyway, I guess I'll have to find more details about this strange deal by myself.

4X-EBI was never purchased by LY, this a/c belongs to ILFC.
I know that LY wanted to get rid of EBI by it couldn't do so since the leasing agreement enabled LY to do so. That might be the reason why Israir is now operating the a/c, but I'll be able to verify it only when I'm back in the country.

Thanx again,
Michael @ New York City

Hi Michael,
How are you ?
I have just returned this morning from a week in NYC , it was so hot there.
Anyway ,
EBI was returned about 3 months ago to ILFC which leased it to Israir.
Its a shame becouse I never got the chance to fly it , it is the only Aircraft from the fleet that I never laid my foot on it.
When are you flying back ?
