United Express to Add New Daily Jet Service From Denver to Palm Springs

"DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 2002-- United Airlines announced today that United Express will start new regional jet service from Denver (DEN) to Palm Springs (PSP), Calif. The three new flights begin December 13, with United Express carrier SkyWest operating two of the flights and Air Wisconsin flying the third.

United Express will operate the daily flights from Denver to Palm Springs using the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ). Known for its convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJ carries 50 passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window seat with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at speeds of 530 miles per hour at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world."

Interesting that they are splitting the flights between Skywest and AirWisconsin. That's the same thing that is happening at Fresno. Is that becoming the norm for United Express just like at Delta Connection??

Excelent.

I was wondering why United doesn't have service to Palm Springs from Denver.

I think it's the largest California destination without Denver service.

Great news.

It is odd how Skywest and Air Wisconsin have started to share routes. This is happening in almost all United Express routes from Denver. I guess 2 airlines are stronger than one.

I really am curious as to why they are doing this....

Anyone have a clue?

Regards
