FedEx DC-10 Go-Around At Aus?

Yesterday when I was leaving work in the afternoon, I saw an inbound FedEx DC-10 on approach to 17R. (I work off of US 183 and the approach path goes right over our building). When it was about a couple of miles past my work, it took a hard left turn and head towards what looked like the holding point (BASTO). Any ideas why this might have happened? The plane wasn't really that close to the runway, at least 5 miles out, seems like they would have had time to stabilize their approach.


Firings, if well done, are good for employee morale.

I dunno, sometimes ATC clears someone for takeoff right before an aircraft if supposed to land. Maybe this happened and the other aircraft did not depart in time. Or maybe another plane landed just before the fedex and did not taxi off the runway in time.

Happens all the time. Can be the ATC fault or the pilots.
