AeroMexico To Move HMO's Hub?

Recently I've been hearing a lot speculation about AM's plans to move their Hermosillo Hub to Culiacan (CUL) due to HMO's lack of space and facilities to handle additional traffic. Is there any truth to this rumor? I don't think CUL is very well positioned geographically speaking as to become AM's Mexican Northwest hub. Last week, government officials had a reunion with GAP (Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, the airport's owners) and all the airlines that fly into HMO and discussed the airport's expansion plans among other things. Representatives for UPS also were in hand to discuss the possibility of operating a Handling center from HMO. I also took a look at AM's schedule and they have been making a lot of changes here at HMO. Does anyone have additional information about this?

I'm not certain, but it could be that they're trying to put political pressure on the authorities to expand the facility. It has been stated by some forum members that HMO is just too small, overcrowded, and outdated for the number of flights it handles, given that it's a mini-hub for AeroMexico.

I also understand that AM's daily flight from LAX to HMO has been downgraded to AeroLitoral's SAAB340 equipment. HMO-ONT was also downgraded to SAAB340 equipment, which can be justified, but L.A.X.! However, it could be that Aviacsa is now offering MTY-LAX service. AM had same plane service via HMO. It seems most of the passengers were headed to MTY and HMO alone couldn't support the flight.

I was looking at AM's schedule and their HMO-ONT flight doesn't show up anymore. Does anybody what happened to it? Also, a new morning non-stop flight was added to MTY and the old one was moved from 16:00 to 18:00. Both flights now operating at non-peak hours, so connections are not possible. This is weird ...

Maybe no one was taking that flight because of the LAX flight... who would want to fly to ONT instead of LAX... ok, maybe those living near ONT, but all of those making connections at L.A. would definitely rather take LAX... I always thought that flight would mean no passengers whatsoever... also Aero California has a daily flight to LAX with cheaper fares... Well, who knows really....

Jose/HMOX ; I was at HMO in april and I saw a parked/derelict white F-27 or FH-227 on the right side of the terminal. Do you know anything more about this frame? Former identity, when did it arrive, etc. It is unknown in any books and lists, so any help would be appreciated. You can also email me (see my profile).
Thanks a lot for the help!

I'm going to the airport tomorrow and I'll snap a picture for you. Let me see what else I can find about that plane.

I could be mistaken, but I think the HMO-ONT was downgraded to twice weekly, Thurs & Sun. This happened in May or June I believe.. Its either that or its only flying between Thursday and Sunday.
