Hi all,

I was just looking at Qantas' new website and on it had this statement

"In 1979 Qantas was the first airline to introduce Business Class. Now we are perfecting it by creating a more comfortable environment for work or play - with comfortable seats, restaurant quality cuisine and more."

from the "Flying with Qantas", "International Business Class" section.

Is this true? If not, who was the first to introduce Business Class?

Thanks!

Jimmy

A few month ago I have read that BA was the first airline that introduced the Business Class on flights between LHR and HKG.
