I don't know if it is still possible to find out what aircraft I was in 22 years ago?
I really wonder, because this was my first flight ever, and all I know is that it was a DC-8 (Swissair) from Zurich to Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) in February 1980.
-Was it a DC-8-60?
-If I can find out the exact day when I flew, is it possible to find out the
registration as well?

Rememberign the exact time and date together witht he flightnumber just might help. Although I am not aware of anywhere that you can find the info, but I don't think that it will be impossible.

According to Exxon Fleets, Swissair's DC-8s were then all -62s.

The possibles are as follows,
HB-IDE/-IDF/-IDG/-IDH/-IDI/-IDK and -IDL. all were -62s. HB-IDH was a -62CF. Did it by chance have a cargo door?
What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.

Thanks for the replies.
So at least I can be sure it was a DC-8-62. If it had a Cargo door I don't remember, I was too young at that time and I don't know anybody who'd remember that.
