Hello,

In the late 70's, when Boeing announced it would produce the 757-767 program they had also on study a three-engined version of the 767 that they called... 777.

AA was particularly interested by that aircraft, but they hasd to re-focus on the 767-200 after Boeing decided to drop the project.

Does somebody have more information about that please ?
