Hello all,

Before Delta retired the great L-1011 Tristar, Which airport got the most L-1011 service? I seem to think ATL since its Delta's largest hub and also due to their route structure. I know places like DFW, LAX, MCO & HNL got a lot of them to.

You forgot MIA. I think it had the most L10s of any airport at the Tristars peak.

Probably ATL with all the Delta L1011s

But remember in the 80s at Miami Eastern and Pan Am both had hubs at MIA and both had L1011s, but then also ATL had an Eastern hub too.

Nowadays, I might say IND is the biggest L1011 hub with the remaining few from ATA.

Last time I was at Toronto there were still a number of Air Transat L1011s there. This was a few months ago, though.

Probably ATL in the 70s and 80s with dozens EA and DL L-1011s on the ground at the same time. Also MCO, MIA, PBI & FLL. In addition EA, DL, AC and TW all flew many TriStars into LGA and JFK.

I work for Southwest, but the views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of Southwest.

AtL was the busiest up to ther 90's with 1011 traffic. Dont forget STL saw alot of them as well because of the TWA hub, as well as LAX in the 70's-90's with DL,TWA,EAL,HA,ATA and AC. I also think LAX was one place that just about all of the majors operating it in that time frame sent 1011's to.
