Sabena and BA are said to be discussing code-sharing agreements on the London - Brussels route, as are BA and Swissair on Zurich - London. This comes after the Swissair/Sabena agreement with American. Will Swissair/Sabena join Oneworld and will the Qualiflyer Group stay?

Crossair and BA are also code-sharing on the LHR- BAsle/Mulhouse flights.
A large part of SR and SAir management cosists of former BA excecutives, SN also has one, so it is not so weird to see this happen.
I think that SAir group is closing in on joining Oneworld, together with AOM.
That way, TAP,SN,SR,Crossair(LX),portugalia,Volare,LOT could all become Oneworld... Is the EU going to accept such an increase of members????
I doubt that Star,Wings and the AF alliances will like this.

I, indeed, can not imagine that all the members of the Qualiflyer Group will join Oneworld which also consist of, among others, Iberia, Deutsche BA, TAT, (Malev in the future?), Air Lingus, Finnair, .... on the continent. That would result in two very big groups, Oneworld an Star. KLM and Alitalia and Air France certainly won't accept this. And what about the rights such a group would receive to cooperate with an American partner. Look at the problems BA and AA have now.
So, do you really think the Qauliflyer Group will stay or not? Will Swissair/Sabena choose for big OneWorld or stay big in Europe but very small in the world.
Or are Swissair/Sabena not going to choose one alliance but have code-share agreements with members of several?
A lot of questions, who has the answers?

If all members of Qualiflyer joins One World, then it means most of the big European Airlines(except the one from STAR ALLIANCE, KLM, AZ, AF) have joined One World and it means it covered virtually the whole Europe! I think it will not be strange for us to see Swiss Air, Sabena joining One World because they are present in Cathay Pacific's frequent flyer programme-ASIA MILES

That is, indeed, true, A3XX. And Swissair is, let's be honest, an airline with a very good reputation and thus welcome in One World.
But what with Swissair having a stake in TAP Air Portugal, Air Littoral and AOM. What will be there function within the SAir Group?
