CI/AE's KHH-HKG?

Just got the new China Airlines timetable and found something weird.

Before Mandarin Airlines receive the rights to fly KHH-HKG, China Airlines used to have 4 daily flights. And now since Mandarin is upgrading 738 to AB6 for KHH-HKG, CI reduced KHH-HKG to 3 daily, the "4th daily" flight will be operated by Mandarin.

Anyone know what's going on?

It is not strange at all. Mandarin Airline is a subsidiary of China airlines, so it is not unusual they share their flights or swap them. As far as I know all the plane Mandarin Airline has are all own by China airlines.

Because CI621/622 has changed to AE821/822.

So either CI gives up 1 daily route, or the Government asked Mandarin to give up the frequencies they awarded.

Its a total joke if you ask me. Yesterday I saw the "AE" flight arrive, guess what its a standard CI A300 in FULL CI colours !!. It's just CI's way of getting passengers on their planes by making them think its another airlines.

VERY WRONG.

Yeeeees, I know that. Are they going to at least paint them in AE colours ??

Whats the point of operating this service ?, why not just use a CI flight number ?

It's Unlikely to see AE colour on AB6.

That's what I was thinking, why not just CI flight?
