If you took the airline unions out to lunch.....

ALPA would insist on the highest priced item on the menu, take a break for a nap halfway through the meal and then walk away leaving you with the check;

AFA would spend all the time whining that they didn't own the restaurant, then total up everyone's checks and insist on paying the average plus 1%;

IAM would eat the leftover breadcrumbs from the pilot's meal, order the big steak but ask for it to go and then loan you the money to pay the check;

AMFA would try to steal the steak from the guy at the next table;

TWU would only be allowed to order from the kid's menu due to scope clause issues;

IBT would beat up the manager and eat for free;

Non-union employees would claim to be part of the owner's family and so go hungry except for some Kool-Aid;

Management would order the lobster dinner, pay double the market price, then insist on a discount when the check arrives.

Union reps seem to be permanently out to lunch.

I'd take them out to a resturant, make them eat the hottest item on the menu, and refuse to get them a drink until they agree to my demands. If they refuse, I'll give them something laced with Wasabi or Habanero, then they'll definitely want to settle.

Inflation hasn't ruined everything. A dime can still be used as a screwdriver.

Although I'm a staunch supporter of my union (AFA), I definitely see the humor (and a small dose of reality) in these.
