Qatar Government Allocates QR 18 Million To Train Nationals As Pilots

Aviation Gulf - Doha (12-09-02): Qatar's government has allocated an annual grant QR 18 million to train Qatari Nationals as pilots, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker told a conference of the airline's pilots, held at the Ritz Carlton hotel recently.

Pretty interesting move IMO, this is part of the government's "Qatarization" program which encourages firms to employ more Qatari's.
