I was at the south employee lot at DTW when I saw a 737 approaching to land on Runway 21R. At first I saw the alternating landing lights so I thought it was a Southwest. Then as I saw it come in closer it was blue in front so I just automatically thought that it was Lone Star One or Triple Crown One. The plane landed and turned off on the taxiway at quite a distance when I noticed that it was not Southwest at all. It looked from a distance to be a 737-300.

The plane was all blue, about the color of the blue on the new Southwest colors, but the whole fuselage was blue. The engines appeared to be white. The tail was blue with some kind of red insignia on the tail. I couldnt tell what it was.

Any chance this was it?

It's an ex-SWA aircraft, so that would explain the alternating landing lights you saw...

That looks like it.

You know, I seen the orange one with the blue emblem like that at DTW and I asked about it before.

I couldnt see that little emblem from where I was or that it apparently was a 737-200 either. If I had seen that emblem, then I would have known.

I thought Ryan International flew A320s for Apple Vacations.

I see those Blue and Orange Ryan's in GSO all the time, at least once a week. They're used for Gambling runs to Atlantic City.
