Flight Crews Bording Their Flights At Hangers?

hey i was just curious to know if flight crews ever borded there aircraft at hangers, for example at PDX theres usually alot of aircraft parked at the hanger at night from United Airlines and I wonder if the flight crew boards at the hanger before the aircraft is towed back to the gate. Thanks all!

I do know that here in YYC at Westjet's hangar the Flight Crews Board at the Hangar if the plane has been parked there.

Most of the time, the aircraft is either towed to the gate by maintenance or ground ops, or the mechanics taxi it over. About the only time the crew reports to the hanger is when they're taking an aircraft from there is when the aircraft is being ferried (no passengers) to someplace else, so there's no need to use a gate at the terminal.

That's just at my airline--others may have different practices/procedures...
