Hello,
With all the depressing talk of September 11th recently, I thought it might be nice to have a cheerful light hearted discussion about liveries!
Here goes...
I was delighted with the photos of the Australian B763s- I've been waiting to see them for ages and that orange certainly makes them stand out!
However we'll have to wait until next month to see what I'm really excited about- Air Greenland's first A330!
Air Greenland is the new name for Greenlandair. With SAS ending their flights to Greenland, the airline has replaced thier B752 with the larger a/c to cope with the increase number of pax they'll receive. If you've not yet seen the new colours you'll be shocked- the use of red is like no other livery out there and I think it looks very trendy and just great!
You can see the new livery on a Dash-7 drawing here: http://www.greenland-guide.gl/gla/
Biman Bangladesh's B772s are also very interesting in my opinion and it's likely they'll replace their old fasioned cheatline livery with something more modern. I beleive the 1st a/c is due to arrive this winter?
With Thomas Cook becoming the common brand name for Condor and JMC we'll see some new a/c types painted into the c/s. The A332s of JMC will look stunning in the TC scheme which I think is very smart and tasteful.
JAL & JAS are rumoured to be announcing an image change soon, with an AA like bare metal scheme being talked about.
Next year will see the end of an era for Northwest Airlines as they begin to replace their DC-10-30s with A333s. They'll be beautiful and I can't wait to see them at Gatwick.
In the next few years we'll also see:
KLM A330s and B777s,
Kenya Airways B777s,
Emirates A345s,
Britannia B764s OR A332s,
South African A346s (infact I think that's soon!)
and that's all I can think of at the momment!
Feel free to add to the list of new and exciting aircraft/livery combinations we'll see and new liveries that should be gracing our skies soon!
Cheers
ps. I deliberately missed out the painting of A330s and DC-10s into the Mytravel livery as it's too horrible to think about...

I am looking foreward to seeing the NW A330 livery the most as I fly NW the quite often. There are rumors that they will be getting a new livery. I am also curious to see what the new JAL livery will be like. They will reveal it on Wednesday. As far as the Air Greenland, I think it is too much red, but it is definately interesting. Bimans 777s should also be interesting.

Don't forget the SIA A340-500 and CAL A330/777 (once Europe and the US - maybe even CAL - has agreed what they can buy!).
My current favourite prospect is the Ethiopian 777; they have on option on two as a result of their latest deal. They haven't been ordered yet, but that would be just beautiful!
Qatar's A340-500 should be worth waiting for.
With the spate of new European low cost carriers, we should see some nice new liveries there (and Hapag Lloyd's new yellow "taxi" livery. Hmm . . .)
And don't forget A380s!
"What are we going to do tonight, Brain?" "Same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world".

I am looking forward to seeing the new Air Malta livery, ...the one succeeding the new one that still has to be announced officially and applied to the fleet! I am really appalled by the black & white easyjet-style livery. At least easyjet has some orange for colour, not damn black & white!!!
