I was just watching Fox News Channel and they just said that there were Air Marshals on every flight to/from SLC for the Olympics, and on every flight to/from MSY during the time around the Super Bowl. They also said that air marshals change flights depending on threats up to an hour before departure. Thats good to know, and it is comforting looking back, going to MSY and knowing that there was an Air Marshal on the flight.

I flew in during the opening ceremonies (actually, we had to old outside SLC until the ceremony was over). Click on the link above. I'm not so sure whether having an air marshall onboard is a comforting thing anymore or not.

But it is a guy with a gun to shoot terrorists, I really dont care about that...If he has a gun and is trained and on my flight, I'm a happy guy. Let me put it this way...Being on a plane with a terrorist, without a Air Marshal? Or being on a plane with a terrorist with an Air Marshal? Hmmm...

Let's see, who's more dangerous to the flying public...a FAM or a terrorist with a gun? Hmm, that's a difficult choice...
