Just a souvenir. Airbus is trying to get China to order A380, and China has promised it'll order some because of the 2008 Olympics.

Jimmy, this is just because you are comparing the tail of 747 with it. There is nothing out of proportion if you can think outside the box.  Wink/being sarcastic

I just wonder how tall the tail is? For 747, the tail is approximately 7 storey-high. For A380, I would say it is about 9 storeys.

I don't think they need the A380. They opted for the 777 instead of the 744 when they ordered in the early nineties. They fly out of Guangzhou and the Olympics will be in Beijing. I don't see the need. My guess is that Air China will be first to get the A380 followed by China Eastern, and then maybe CZ.

Good for China Southern. I like their business plans.

However, I don't really like the livery.

Also, the caption on the photo says...

"The long-planned offer would raise much-needed cash for the carrier to acquire more than 20 Boeing aircraft, to be delivered between the second half of this year and 2005."

Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

I believe China Southern fly out of Beijing on some of the international routes too. Or they can add that service for the Olympics games.

The CZ 777's have to be some of the best looking 777's around so we can only imagine how amazing a A380 would look in CZ's colours.

As for a CA A380..... BORING !!, MU would be OK.
