Will be going to BOS from HNL. Should I fly CO (HNL-IAH-BOS) or AA (HNL-DFW-BOS)?
CO flies HNL-IAH on 777, and IAH-BOS on 737. Does anyone know if CO's 777s have private TV on Coach? What about leg room? AA I heard has more leg room on US mainland flights, but I am not sure if their transPacific planes have extra leg room. Does AA have PTV on their 767-300s? Any info is appreciated.

CO, for the PTVs. Flights to HNL get boring real fast so at least you will have some good entertainment. Plus, the 777 in my opinion is much better than the 767, although both are great airplanes. Have a good trip. Aloha!

CAL operates 4 flights from the mainland. 2 IAH, 1 LAX, 1 EWR. All flight are operated with a 767-400 aircraft. Starting next month, 1 of the two daily IAH flights will switch to a 777 (flight #1 and #2) for utilization purposes. It is only temporary.

I did BOS-ORD-HNL, HNL-LAX-BOS this past March. New 737 to ORD, and a 767-300 to HNL. MRTC legroom but, no PTV's. They did show movies on big screens. HNL-LAX was with a 757, that had old not very comfy seats. And a 767-200 LAX-BOS, not bad but, no PTV's. It was a pretty good experience overall. I would have liked better seats for sleeping, rather than PTV's. If I had to do again, I would try CO... I want to fly 777
