Just looking at the QF schedules it seems that the 742's have returned for the Northern Winter schedule starting OCT 27! I had noticed that they had been removed but have since returned!

They look to be on the following routes

So good news then that these great birds will be around for a little longer!

Anyone got an official retirement date? Sad to see these birds going. It is now just VH-EBQ and VH-EBS left!

Aren't those routes operated by a B743? Why the change? Anyway EBQ had an engine failure last night.

Actually, I am booked on QF 30 SIN-DPS on OCT 19 and the flight shows as 742 on both Qantas web page and in Galileo reservation system.

According to Bill Harm´s census, only three 742s left at QF, all of them leased out to Air Pacific at some point. So I wonder myself what the deal is. Any QF insiders can shed some light into this ?
