Well, this holds some weight as its from CO its self i emailed CO and asked when the PETER MAX 772 will go back to standard cls. they said
Dear Mr Pritchard
I am in receipt of your e-mail and thank you for your patience whilst obtaining an answer to your question.
After checking with our Head Quarters Engineering department in Houston, the Peter Max Millennium Boeing 777, is scheduled for a repaint back to the standard Continental paint scheme in April 2005.

Ship 014 can be found anywhere CO has 777 service. We get her here at IAH at least once a week.
The fact that this paint scheme even exists was a big surprise to people familiar with CO. Back around '97 or '98 Gordon was asked in an interview why Continental had no special paint schemes. He stated that he wanted a consistent and uniform product throughout the system.
Now if they'd only do a '60s "Golden Jet" retro scheme. Guess we'll have to wait for CAL's 75th anniversary in 2009 for that one.

Saw it at EWR on the 22nd...
Beautiful plane.. too bad it was dusky and yucky outside...
I took a picture and managed to catch its strobes, but its not a very good one. The arrivals board said it was coming from LGW

It did come into IAH today as CO11 (just happened to be standing on the jetway at C48 when it landed). It then went back to CDG the same day as CO10. Didn't check to see if it's coming back to IAH tomorrow or going to EWR as CO57.

What a shame!
The Peter Max scheme is one of my favorites (don't shoot me down please!), and is the only one that I can ID from my house where outbound flights from EWR fly around 15,000 feet above. When the sun catches this beautiful aircraft, the colors shine down!
