Why Was Vc10 In Russia

in Moscow sheremetyevo airport terminal 1 I saw a vc10 that was grey and it was a tanker. It was not an IL62 . Does anybody know why it was there?

That was most likley an RAF tanker. They bought VC10's from British Airways and converted them to tankers. I wonder why it was there.
