Do you:
1. Leave it On and stay in your seat
2. Unbuckle it but stay in your seat
3. Quickly yank it off and rush to the lav
4. Slowly take it off and walk to the lav

I usually leave it on for the duration of the flight except for when I get up for the lav. I just feel safer that way. I would never take a seatbelt off in a car, so why should I on a plane?

Most of the time I leave it on and stay in my seat. I hate rushing to lavs after the seatbelt sign goes off because I end up standing in line for 30 minutes anyway. To avoid the lines, I usually visit the lavs when the seatbelt sign is on.
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

I used to always just take it off and feel free, but my brother told me it made no sense, so now i realize that keeping it on is number 1 safer, but also easier and makes really no difference.

definately keep it on, its like a car do you take it off once you've back out of the driveway...no?...why? because you don't know when something is going to happen.

For most airlines, they turn it off and on again shortly after take off. Why?

Given that I only fly short domestic flights I usually don't have to get up from my seat anyway. I don't loosen the seatbelt during the flight, actually I try and see if it will do up any tighter! I've always done that. It feels safe.

I take it off. Tbh if something is violent enough to throw me out of my seat fast enough to physically harm me then we're probably doomed anyway..

I always leave it buckled - and I`ve also learned to buckle it over the top of the blanket on long hauls... saves having to be woken up if we hit some mid-flight bumps !

Usually, I'll just leave it fastened during flight, depends on the total environment (how long the flight is,and if the person sitting next to me is robbing my seat space!!)

I don't get up to go to the bathroom anymore, even if I have to. The plane is likely to make an emergency landing, or I'm likely to get shot by an Air Marshall for acting "suspicious".

I always take the seatbelt right off. While I too must have a window seat, I just feel like I have a little more space if I am not being constrained by a seat belt that goes over my lap. At least in my car, I have the shoulder harness to stop me if I suddenly stop, but not that on the plane...
