Bigmo747, as far as the story goes CX specifically asked PIA not to paint the aircraft in their full livery when they were leased in 1999, becaus ethey were not sure if the aircraft would be leased for teh full term as PIA's financial state was not good at the time and Cathay did not want to go through the expense of having to repaint the returned planes if the lease agreement failed. therefore the floral tail design was introduced as a new livery as it would keep the aircraft largely White yet give a distinct image to the bland new look, it failed and PIA reverted to their present Green belly scheme, one A310, two 747-200 and one F27 painted in the floral tail livery were repainted in the Green belly, with the exception of one A300 and the five 743's all of which were leased, these six aircraft continue to operate in the White livery, but now that PIA have purchased the 743's they will gradually be repainted in the Green belly livery starting with B-HON, the A300 will be retired so no need to paint that. One 737-300 which is operated for the govt. also will remain in the White livery, unless PIA are allowed to paint it, I believe it is also used for commercial services by the airline so it should wear the full livery.
