The Thai "747" is a 747-400 with the new F and C seats. The "744" is the 747-400s without the new F and C seats

VJ, obviously TG had a last minute equipment change - the 747-400 that was scheduled for today no doubt had a technical problem and the 743 was substituted. It's not exactly rocket science..

I believe TGT, TGW, TGY, TGX, TGZ, TGA, TGB are 747 on the schedules. These have the new seats. TGH, TGJ, TGK, TGL, TGM, TGN, TGO, TGP, TGR (again, I believe) have the old F & C seats & are listed as 744.

TG's new C seats are barely competitive with the competition. The old ones are lousy. It's a real disappointment to expect the new ones & get a plane with the old ones.
