For those of you who have some time on your hands, I would love to see a low-cost airline route map of europe with different colours for each airline.

It would be a most useful reference and would really show the huge expansion of these airlines in recent times!

On a related note, 'Time Out' (they produce a series of tourist guides to various cities-like Lonely Planet) have produced a guide on holidays/places of interest served exclusively by low-cost airlines.

It isn't always obvious what one can see near places such as Hahn, Lubeck, Graz or Klagenfurt...so this book tells you about possible excursions, train journeys across borders....i.e. did you know you could fly to Athens on Easyjet and then sail across to Turkey.....or fly to Ancona with Ryanair, and sail across to Croatia? Quite interesting!

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

We have a tool (MapInfo) that draws routemaps. There are other similar tools out there, from OAG for example.

AirOrange - keep us informed.

From my memory, the airlines include:
- Ryanair
- Easyjet/GO
- bmibaby
- buzz
- basiq
- virgin express
- germanwings
- fly dba
- germania
- hapag lloyd express
- air berlin
- air lib express
- mytravel lite
- goodjet

What others?

All of these have websites with good route maps. That would be the best place to look, as many of these airlines have extensive route networks.
