Heey everybody,
Everybody knows the fleet expansion and/or renewal programmes of the bigger airlines. Airlines like Singapore Airlines, Qantas, China Airlines, Japan Air Lines, Air New Zealand, KLM, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, Air France, Iberia, American, United Airlines, Delta, Northwest, Varig have been getting attention from the media, but how about the other (smaller) airlines?
What do you think airlines like Martinair, Air Europa, Corsair, Britannia, Avianca, Aerolineas Argentinas, Garuda Indonesia, Philippines (PAL), Dragon Air, All Nippon Airlines (ANA), Air Pacific, Air Zimbabwe (if they still operate), Air 2000, Avensa, Aeropostal, Spirit Airlines, AirTran, Cubana or any other smaller airline will operate in about 10-15 years from now?
Will Martinair opt for the B767-400ER, what about their MD11 fleet? Will Britannia go for the B767-400ER as well or go all-Airbus? Can we see Avianca's 767-300ER being replaced by another airliner? Which aircraft will replace the large MD88 fleet of Aerolineas Argentinas, A320 or 737NG? How about Garuda Indonesia and Philippines (PAL), can we expect major orders/leases from them? Will Garuda phase out its 747's in favour of smaller widebody aircraft, such as the A340/777? What's the future for ANA's B767's? Will ANA operate the A380 or will they go for the B747-400ER? Will Air Pacific go for the 747-400 or 777/764 or will they opt for Airbus? Will the B737NG be operated by AirTran an/or Spirit Airlines? How does the future look like for Cubana?
Which aircraft will these airlines operate 10-15 years from now?
What are your thoughts?
