Yeah, I sometimes feel weird... With my scanner, binoculars and camera all in tow... Especially when I'm alone. When other spotters who I've become acquainted with are around I don't feel as odd, though.
Wow.... Quite the turn-out! Is it like that all the time, or, just on week-ends? Here at Toronto Pearson the spotting locations get busiest on week-ends... But, not to that extent. However, because there are a couple of places to view airplanes, no one location get too congested. Maybe, if we had only one location... Well, then it might look like what's shown in the photograph.

It is amazing how many people will gather to see a 747, even at airports (unlike FUN) that receive them on a regular basis. Few aircraft even other widebodies have this kind of attraction to the average spectator.

I was there on Saturday... for a little while... At FedX. I was with my girlfriend and a buddy. He has red hair and drove a white (older) Corolla. We (my g/f and I) were in a black VW. He said we left about 5 min before it was there.
I don't recall what other vehicles were around when we were there, though.
I was there with some buddies today (Sunday) as well... from just after 2 till sometime after 4. Then, we went up top T1. Great day of spotting, I must say. We had a good little get together.

... Incidently, Gmonney visited YHM on Monday. He stopped in on his way back from Niagra Falls.
Today, I was spotting with CaptainGomes, CessnaPimp, Gmonney, and, YYZ717. Great bunch of guys. It was cool hanging out at T1 in addition to spotting at FedX. All in all, a good time was had by all.
