Just thought I would let the few people on the forum who pay attention to eastern europe that it seems as though Aerosvit has/is getting a 767-300 and is starting service to Bankok on November the 10th.
If anyone has any more info please share
Slawko
Oh by the way I got the info off their website, http://www.aerosvit.com
I hope they get a new livery with that new airplane

Where's the 767 going to come from? Do you think they are actually going to operate the a/c (dry lease) or just codeshare or "borrow" it from another airline (Air Atlanta has been arming itself with 67's a lot lately)?

Thanks for that Slawko. My girlfriend is joining me from Kiev in NZ this Xmas and she was going to have a long, complex journey. This could be really useful and will let you know how it works out.

A few months ago they announced on their website that they would be starting Toronto, New York, and Bangkok. I assumed at the time this was part of the "big" merger plans in Ukraine, and that the 763 would be operating under the name of the "new" airline formed from Ukraine International, Aerosvit, and Air Ukraine Cargo...but I guess they are going it alone with the long haul operation...
Maybe Airorange can try and get a hold of them to give them a new colour scheme

The aircraft involved is an ex SAS 767-300, c/n 24476. Since returned by SAS, it was stored at Victorville. It is an PW4060-powered example and leased by Aerosvit from Boeing Capital.
