The Federal Express hub gets the go ahead from the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority. That group voted unanimously Thursday morning in favor of the new hub.
The agreement on the $300 million sorting center signed Thursday will run for 25-years.
Builders still need to get permits before construction can begin. The hub should be finished between 2007 and 2009.

That's great news. GSO needs this hub badly. Hopefully this is the start of some rebuilding.
One question: any indication as to how this hub will compare in size to MEM or UPS in SDF? Not near as big, I assume...

Not sure how it compares, but I read that this initial stage is for 70 flights per day and by 2007 it is supposed to be 150+
