My educated guess would be DFW. Just a guess, not a confirmed fact. Regards.

Probably either Chicago or Denver.

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

DTW would have been possibly before the Davey was torn down for a few months in 2002. There would have been close to 200 gates at DTW at that time.

The Midfield Terminal has 96, The Smith has about 30, there were 70+ left at Davey before it was demolished, plus the 6 at the Berry International.

No, it can't be Denver. I live here. I vaguely our old airport having more gates than DIA. DIA covers a huge land area though.

Detroit (DTW) might not be now...but with them adding 6 gates to the B concourse, and 16-25 on the C concourse in the Midfield Terminal it will be. Right now: 132 Gates After Expansion: ~160 Gates.

oh and ORD also has 173....the numbers I haven given may not be exactly correct..I am just going by their terminal maps...so my margin of error is probably +/- 2...

It's obvious that US airports are a lague of their own...
What about non-US aiports? In Europe I guess its between CDG, LHR, AMS, , FRA, LGW.
Here's AMS [all gates jetway equiped, did not include remote stands]:
Pier B: 10
Pier C: 14
Pier D: 36
Pier E: 14 [6x D10, 8x 744]
Pier F: 8 [8x 744]
Pier G: 8 [7x 744]
Total AMS: 90.

Can anyone add the figures for other European airports?
