Any chance of Vietnam Airlines flying to London when they get their 777-200s for the CDG route meaning they have some 767s freed up?

Hello Donder, I dont see that happening for a few reasons:

1. They are going to use those B767s on Asian routes which are doing good for them, for example to Taiwan, Japan or Korea.

2. There won't be too much people travelling between SGN-LON. (I may be wrong here just my assumptions)

3. If they want to start new intercontinental routes, I would think they would fly to Moscow as planned, but maybe without a stop in Beijing unlike when using the A320/A321. But they are aiming to win 5th freedom rights on PEK-Moscow (which airport in Moscow did they use to serve?)

They plan to fly 777-200ERs to London Heathrow in 2003 or early 2004 according to some man.

I would want to fly LHR - SGN. However, I would do that on Singapore Airlines anyway.

However, their priorities are France and Germany where there are more Vietnamese communities.

Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

CDG will most likely be the first 772 route.Surprised they want to fly the 772 into London(how will they get slots? at LHR?)instead of the 767.

I would also like to know how they assume they will be able to get slots.

The 772 is more luxurious obviously and therefore, people would be more impressed with an IFE-equipped 777 than a 767.
