I will fly from Dusseldorf on 12th january to Dubai with Emirates, what can I expect??? Is it a nice company???
I never flew with them before so I'm very curious about them, can I compare them by ex. with KLM? On which
AC will I fly? Do they have PTV's?

You'll find extra info by doing an appropriate search.

Yes, all EK aircraft in all classes are fitted with PTVs. I have flown them a few times (mainly from MAN to DXB, and DXB to CMB), and found them to generally be quite good. Occasionally, and on some of their multi-sector red-eye flights, the service can slip a bit (agitated, and tired-looking FAs) but generally the service and food (in all classes) compares well with other European, full-service airlines (in some instances, I would say it was even better).

I have flown EK on two seperate trips. The first was back in 1999, FRA-DXB-BOM and back. They were very average. I then gave them another try in 2001. BOM-DXB-KWI and back and they were fantastic.

Every seat does have a PTV and I believe your aircraft is a A330, but I am not sure.

My trip reports are there. If you want you can search for them.

I flew Emirates in Dec 2001, SYD-SIN-CMB and then in February of this year and I flew them again SIN-SYD. Emirates was great, everything I expected from them, became reality when I stepped aboard their plane. Though they do have some seat pitch problems. 3-4-3 seating on their B777s are a bit too cramp for me. Their PTV system is still very good, but it is a bit outdated, SQ's Krisworld, CX's studioCX and Qantas's new PTV system (the ones that I have tried) have superseeded Emirates system now.

However, their food and service more than makes up for it. Their food service is one of their strong points, all my meals with them, have been excellent (especially the dessert!). Haven't been to Dubai for ages, but DXB has the best dutyfree shopping in the world. I love to go there soon someday!  Smile

Thank's to all of you for your replies!!! I checked it out concerning the plane so SR 103 you're right probably
it's a A330-200! Zizou, a lot of people told me that Dubai is THE shoppers paradise! So, it will be my first time
in Dubai and I'm very curious about what it looks like! I will stay in 2 different Hotels in Jumeirah Beach for a week
and enjoying this beautiful beach  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
