Regarding the general strike announced for Friday October 18 from 10.00 until 18.00 hrs. by the members of the main Italian unions, Alitalia will be forced to cancel 275 flights, of which 157 are domestic flights, 114 international, and 4 intercontinental. A further 109 flights will get a new schedule.
Also all the others airlines will cancelled all the flights from/to Italy between 10am and 6pm.

Again a bad day for Italian aviation and travellers.

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear. With "general" I mean "common". All the workers (in post-office, schools, airports...) in Italy will be on strike

Should be an interesting day at STN...I feel sorry for the Ryanair and Go check-in agents, there's gonna be fireworks on that day!
