Hey everyone,

When I flew on SAS Biz Class from Tokyo to Copenhagen last year it was on their 767s which were, rather ordinary. The food was amazing, but the seats were old, no PTV's (only portable devices handed out), etc...

My parents are booked on a ticket to Europe on SAS via Singapore the one way from Sydney, and via Tokyo the other. What aircraft can they expect on these routes? and if its the new A330/A340.... what are the new seats and cabin like in J class?

Thanks a lot, any info. is appreciated!

I think it's one of the new A340s - the A330s are used on flights to North America.

I've heard that SAS' new Business class is really great with very comfortable seats, PTV, power outlets for laptops etc. And then there is their "Scandinavian cooking", which I like.

Check this site for further information: http://www.scandinavian.net/EC/Appl/Home/FrontDoor/0,3479,SO%253D46376CA02C0C45C3_960582F2C732BBE6%2526MKT%253DAU,00.html#

Ansett767, both flight will be with the new A340-313X. The link under shows pictures of both business and economy class (there are also a third class called economy extra)
And here are a small description of A340 from Paul's Journal

I flew CPH - NRT business a few month ago.

the Crew was good, the food nice. Not so much choice & frills but the quality was ok. I still have the sandals.

The seats were new but not amazing good.

The video systems worked but is quiet conventional. Headsets are good. I I were your parent I would take a nice book and listen to the music. Games are too simple.

One nice part is the bar. you can visit it during the flight to get snacks refreshment or a cappucino !

I took this picture before departure (first pic I ever sent in ..)

Does any one know when the leg room will be increased. It is small for business class. BA, Delta and KLM offer much more....
