Today at Toronto International, an Air France 777 landed on runway 23 after receiving a bomb threat. The aircraft taxied to the infield area, where the crew was told not to open the doors until an inspection and air samples were taken. The pilot at one point commented that it might be a time bomb, timed to explode when flying over the United States. I believe the flight was enroute to Mexico.
I don't have any further details at this time, but it was very interesting to see this unfold, and glad nothing serious happened.

I was in my warrior II at YKZ when my instructor and I saw her coming in. We were wondering why she was so low and had gear down way out, guess now I know.
Sorry guys. I was at the infield area and got talking to the father of A.net photographer Darcy Stevens. Then all hell broke loose and my eyes were peeled to the action around the 777.

Was that you Drip when we saw you vehicle at Bax Global.....there was the group of us standing there and a vehicle like yours came near and then turned around by a Mexicana A320 at the infield terminal......
By the way guys, thanks for a great day, it didn't end there... AW and I went off the the game after spending time at T1 and we did see Kaz because he was on his way to Regina, so i got him there early to see the AF777, finally we made it to the game intime for the second half.....after the game we arranged to meet Yyz717 and proceeded to a evening of conversation over a few refreshing beverages.
I would have to say that every person that i have come across while spotting are very unique in there own way, I can not say that i have met someone that i have not liked and i think that i can go as far as saying i have a lot of new freinds. Its just hard to imagine that two years ago i was sitting infront of a computer dreaming of this day. A day when i can go to the airport, go to a basketball game with a member and then meet another after the game. I would have to say that i am one of the weaker links in the group for knowledge.....so with that, I thank you all for the knowledge and i look forward to seeing all of you the next time we are out at YYZ,

Got there late. Did see Air France 777 parked on non-active with MEGA security vehicles surrounding her. Thank the lord almighty things didn't get ugly.
Great evening! (Raptors kicked butt) Cool hanging out with GMonney and YYZ717. (good 10yr old whiskey, too)
Seems YYZ has been getting a lot of attention of late. This is the second 777 diversion in a matter of weeks. Did anyone or any group claim responsibility for the threat?
Andy, was that you circling the infield area? Darcy and the folks are really cool, eh?! Very nice people, man. Always a pleasure to see them when I'm spotting.
