i was chating with a friend when he mentioned that some time ago there was a fight that errupted in the cockpit of an TK A340 on a flight from the US to IST. (most probably JFK-IST) The funny thing or rather the dangerous thing was the fact that the Captain and the F/P were the guys involved in the fight! they were argiung in odds and then it developed into a physical fight to the extent that another TK pilot who just finished his flight training in the US was returning on the flight (as a passenger) home to IST took over control and landed the bird! both guys were immediately fired.

Actually, it was a BKK to IST flight (not that this makes any difference!) and there was a slight confusion over altitude clearance. The F/O believed it was one height and the captain and another and both believed that a swift impact of fist to teeth might be able to persuade the erring colleague of the correct clearance. Actually, the other pilot was the reserve F/O who did in fact land the aircraft and both pilots were given their marching orders.
There is also an interesting aside; the captain on the flight also featured in the Just Planes Videos Turkish A340 video (from JFK to IST). (That's actually a very interesting video, although THY may have since redesignated seating in the cockpit from left/right seat to red/blue corner!!)
