Hi folks!
I plan to go on a trip from Sydney to Auckland in Mid April and come back in late April 2003. However, the Qantas Global Deal Price has gone up a bit and I didn't have a chance to go to Flight Centre today.
What's the cheapest fare I can get for April 2003? I mean for Thai, Air New Zealand, as well as Qantas. Coz these are the ones I would only take. And where/how do I book it? I mean which agent or website would you recommend....... STA if I am a student? I mean for the lowest price.....

travel.com.au lists the cheapest as $712 AUD (inc tax) that's on Qantas.. Good choice of Aircraft too - 767's, 737's or the new Airbus. For the cheaper airfares, you need to wait until 2 months before to book.

Thai Airways do around NZ$500 r/t for Trans Tasman, or around NZ$1000 in Business Class if you feel like treating yourself (those are prices AKL-SYD-AKL - I am assuming SYD-AKL-SYD would be the same).
I was going to point out Air New Zealand's 'Early Bird' sale, but I see this is only valid for the months of March, May and June. Still, if you are booking this far in advance, you should be able to get a relatively decent fare.
My suggestion would be to go into your local STA store (I would imagine there owuld be one on campus at UNSW, right?) and ask them - I am sure they would be glad to help you, and will probably give you better answers than any of use here can. I believe their website is http://www.statravel.com.au/ if that is any help - though i can't get it to load.
Hope this is of help,
V/F

http://www.flightcentre.com.au quotes $418 for dep's in Apr03 flying Aerolineas Argentinas "b/outs apply 3 only" whatever that means. I'd give them a call on 133 133 first thing Tue morning.
