Impressive Satellite Photo Of Mount Etna Ash Plume

If you are flying down the Med watch out for Mount Etna. If at night it is a sight to behold with the glowing red flowing. If during the day the ash cloud is visible from miles away. Last Sunday night I actually saw it erupting when we were over Palermo !! Without any doubt the most impressive scene I have seen in my 25 years flying !!

I'll never forget seeing Etna as we descended for an approach into Catania...what an amazing site. Also, Stromboli, I loved this volcano too, just like something out of a fantasy film!
