This is a good news only for half.
No domestic flights as they told a while ago and service to some place like Paris and Brussels where today you could have good deal with AirLib Express from Malpensa (for 29 Euro taxes included to Orly) and both MXP, ORY have a far better connection to downtown. To BRU Milan has VEX from LIN. They are a little bit expensive but 49 Euro included taxes from Linate to BRU is 10 times a better deal than 25 Euro Ryanair fares from BGY to CRL (9.99€ + 16.12 taxes)

I'm really sad because of this, I live close to Brescia, VBS which probabily will be closed after this decision.
I sincerely hoped FR to choose VBS as a hub, but this didn't happen.
Unfortunately I've already booked a FR flight from London to Malmo on Dec the 10th, but this will surely be my last FR flight.
This is a sad day in Brescian aviation, its new, efficient airport will be closed and I have to go very far to take a plane.

why luton???? whats the plan with this .... They have a STN hub and, as far as i know, only operate flights to LTN from dublin. This is a very weird move. I know EZY are based at LTN but it seems like a weird move to now choose this airport after ignoring it for so long.

Ryanair don't operate hubs plus STN+LTN serve different segments on the 'London area'market.Plus it seems like they are going after AZ a bit too-Arrivederci Alitalia is on EI-CSZ!
