Not sure if this was posted sometime ago but I am sure many of you are aware of this.
HKG-SYD will go double daily from 11/24/2002 onwards.
Sydney- Hong Kong:
QF 187: Departs Sydney at 10:20 am and arrives Hong Kong at 5:05 am
QF 127: Departs Sydney at 12:00 pm and arrives Hong Kong at 5:45 pm

Um, so which one is the correct time? QF 187 depart at 10.20pm, arrive at 5.05 am, right? Why do I have a feeling that it won't be very popular?????
Well, at least not with the families in economy, flying back to Hong Kong over the holidays........ Arriving in Hong Kong so early would be a killer.....
By the way, so there only used to be 3 flights from SYD to HKG? 2 by CX, and 1 by QF? I'm suprised, I thought it would have more than that, since Sydeney is supposed to have a larger number of Hong Kong immigrants than Auckland, and we already get 3 daily flights here (almost)........

Anyone think by next summer, we'll see an A330 on this route?

United Airline I'm sure. May I ask where did you get your info from or is it that you thought QF will start double daily serviceds? Because QF started offering 14 flights a week for ages and you post that QF will go double daily on this route, I was wondering what's your main point.

UA, you are in fact correct. The 5 times a week QFA187 will be increased to daily, which in addition to QFA127, will make double daily SYD-HKG non-stops.
9V-SPK seems to be jumping the gun to have a go at you, I believe he is referring to multi stop services, not non-stops.
Combinations of flights are offered from Sydney to Hong Kong:
QF127 Sydney 1200 Hong Kong 1745 744 Non-stop
QF187 Sydney 2220 Hong Kong 0505+1 763 Non-stop
QF85 Sydney 1035 Hong Kong 1845 763 Stops in Brisbane
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday)
QF83 Sydney 2125 Hong Kong 0600+1 763 Stops in Melbourne

AJ, he's correct if he was meaning non-stop flights but he didn't point it out specificly, after all he only listed the 2 HKG - SYD flights but left out the other flights so that made me curious.
United Airline, if you mean non-stop flights to SYD then yes that's what just like AJ said. Sorry if I confused you.
